SMALL GROUPS

LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR FAITH COMMUNITY

WHAT ARE SMALL GROUPS

Small Groups are made of 5-6 couples or eight to twelve individuals who gather to study God’s Word and discuss the issues and challenges of life that we all face. It is also where we pray and care for one another and where you are missed when you are not there. Considering that the early church worshipped in large settings in the synagogues as well as in homes, we unite together similarly in order to be in deeper fellowship with God and one-another. God has reconciled us not only to Himself but also to each other. This “each other” is called His Church. Thus, we intentionally strive toward community through men’s/women’s groups, home gatherings, and other personal settings.

We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue that has just surfaced in our life. Living in community affords us the opportunity to more wholly experience God through close relationships as we play and pray together, as we encourage and help one another, and as we study and live out God’s word together. Small Groups come in all shapes and sizes – married couples, singles, men’s, women’s, children, no children, workplace, young adult or empty nesters.

HOW TO JOIN A SMALL GROUP

New groups are being formed at different points in the year. Some meet weekly, others once or twice a month. Some groups are also formed for a set period of time (i.e. a group may meet to complete a twelve week study). Please inquire with us in person this Sunday morning so you can be provided with the latest details of those groups. Our desire is that everyone who is wants to be part of a small group community will be able to join one.
